Good Old Fashion Diner Food

Due to the 2010 "Blizzard", with sheer disappointment, I was unable to attend the Bocuse d'Or competition.
So I decided to have lunch with a friend. Because of my disappointment I knew that I would have to eat a special lunch to lift my spirits so we had decided on one of the few old fashion diners left in the area, the Snydersville Diner. Now this diner and I go way back from my childhood. Some my earliest memories are standing in line with my parents waiting to get a table at the diner when it was called Beseckers. This was one of the original Aluminum sided diners that have since gone away.

Fridays was always my favorite day to go because it was baked haddock, stewed tomatoes and macaroni and cheese day and that was the only day you could get this. It was as perfect as the first day I remember years ago as a child. It used to be that diner food was very reasonable but prices have gone up but still I feel it is the best deal in town. Where else can you get great homemade soups, homecooked meals and homemade pies and desserts for under $10.00.

I also have to say the wait staff is friendly and very accommodating, the waitress actually asked us if we wanted separate checks to make the bill dividing easier. I highly recommend for all of you to try it on your way to The Crossings or skiing, you won't be disappointed.
